IPL popularly known as Indian Premier League is the most loved T20 cricket game by Indian Citizen. It was an effort by Lalit Modi and the first match of IPL was played on 18 April 2008 which consisted of 8 teams. Most of us love to watch cricket but what are the ill effects of it on the country.
1. Due to IPL, today cricket is only played for money by the players. Players are loosing the true sportsman spirit. Any player can do anything in match to earn money because today money is the only thing for them which can grow their status and give them high rank in society. They didn`t think for the respect of the country or a state.
2. Due to IPL our country is betting more and more on teams from this the players also earn money and the person betting also doubles his/her amount. This is the reason why people don`t want to work as by betting they are earning which leads to less economic development of country.
3.Nowadays IPL teams are being purchased by the Rich Tycoons and they also bid for playes to buy them for their teams, which leads to destroy of sports ethics.
We know that every coin has two faces, one is bad and one is good but from my point of view IPL should be banned in India as it is destroying the ethical value of a game, people take leaves from their office to watch them and also waste money on tickets that are of heavy cost. If it will be banned then the betting will be stopped and people will work and will do hard work for earning money. This will also create responsibility in them about their families and country.
