Alia Bhatt Reveals A Big Thing About Signing Takht

Alia Bhatt revealed that she never heard the story of her upcoming movie Takht. In a recent interview with leading daily the actress said that she has no idea about it. She said that Karan just called her one day to tell that he wants her to act in a film. Furthermore, she stated that because the filmmaker is her mentor, she has immense love and respect for him, and that she gave her nod without thinking anything.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, she said, “Honestly, I don’t know what Takht is about. Karan called me one day and said, ‘I am making this film and you have to be a part of it.’ So, I said, ‘Okay, I am not even listening to the script; you know I’ve to be a part of it.’ It’s only recently when we were in Bulgaria that I said, ‘accha bata do kya kar rahi hoon main film mein.”

She added, “But I’d do this only with Karan because he is somebody whom I will blindly work with. So, even if I am doing something, I will drop it all to work with him. That’s how much I love and owe him”.

On work front Alia is gearing up for her upcoming movie Gully Boy, which also stars Ranveer Singh. The movie is directed by Zoya Akhtar and it is slated to release on February 14. Apart from that she has Brahmastra, with Ranbir Kapoor, which is set to be the big Christmas release on December 20, 2019.
