Arjun Kapoor Lashes Out At Media Discussing The Length Of An Actor’s Dress

Arjun Kapoor has always been proving himself as an ideal brother to sisters Anshula Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor. Whenever Janhvi gets trolled for her choices of dresses, Arjun has always come in front as a pillar of strength and slammed trolls on social media.

In a recent event conducted by the India Today Group, Arjun spoke at length about the negativity in the virtual space and how media should stop amplifying it. Accompanied by Namaste England co-star Parineeti Chopra, Arjun stated that, “If you are talking about the length of a dress, media should not discuss it. Media plays it up if a troll talks about someone.”

Talking on the same podium, Parineeti also said that disrespect for actors was increasing by the day. She added by saying, “In my six-year career, I have seen a lot of change. Where people should appreciate and respect someone for their acting, they don’t. All of that is flushed out. People have a strange power now, thanks to the internet. Their cameras are always on; be it at the airport or when you want some personal time, they are always recording you. The disrespect for actors is increasing – and I think that should stop.”

When asked of social media allowing fans to directly interact with actors, Arjun said that the internet is now playing a vital role to connect us with a common man through social media platforms. “We have become accessible and we react. That gives negative people a high. I am available every day. Earlier, it wasn’t as khullam-khulla. The aura around celebrities is gone today,” added Arjun Kapoor.

On the work front, Arjun and Parineeti will next be seen in Namaste England which is all set to hit the screens on October 19, 2018, on the occasion of Dussehra.
