Recently, Deepika Padukone garnered praise from audiences for her cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's film "Jawan." However, an old interview of the actress has resurfaced on the internet, where she discusses a film she was eagerly looking forward to but eventually got replaced in.

During the interview with Filmfare, Deepika expressed her excitement about the particular film, believing it would significantly boost her career. She recounted meeting the producer, who assured her of the role, saying, 'We are very sure, but the actor is traveling. Let me discuss it with him, but consider it done.'

Thinking she had secured the role, Deepika was later shocked to discover she was no longer a part of the project. While she didn't mention the film or the actor's name, fans speculate it was about Aamir Khan replacing her with Katrina Kaif in "Dhoom 3."

Despite the disappointment, Deepika found solace in her subsequent project, "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani," alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Reflecting on the experience, she stated, "I’m so happy I did. I’m so happy that it fell into my lap. It’s the best thing that could’ve happened to me. It was a classic example of when things happen, they happen for a reason."

In her upcoming ventures, Deepika Padukone will be seen in "Fighter," "Kalki 2898 AD," and "Singham Again."
