Happy Birthday Naseeruddin Shah: Awards Don’t Influence Him As An Actor

Film actor Naseeruddin Shah is celebrating his 69th birthday today. The actor has always mesmerised his fans with his acting skills. The actor has received several awards for his acting, but his some great achievements too, he has been honoured with National awards, Padma Shri and a Padma Bhushan but the actor says, these awards don’t influence him as an actor.

In an interview to daily leading, the actor said he has put all the awards in cupboard and forgotten them all. All that matters to him is a strangers coming to him and appreciating his work. Despite being big star in Bollywood, Shah has always treated his children just like any common man. His children used to travel from local trains, when they were studying.

Even his son Imaduddin Shah met with an accident while travelling in a local train. He fell off a local train between Mumbai Central and Mahalaxmi station, and had suffered from multiple injuries. However, Naseeruddin Shah has never helped his son Vivaan Shah to get any film. Even Vivaan Shah says he managed to find work in Bollywood without using his family’s name. He even reveals that he takes career guidance from his parents who also criticise his work. “Till now they have liked all my three films, but they do point out my mistakes when they see the film. They are very honest in their opinion”.
