Home-based messaging app Hike has launched new animated stickers on the occasion of the upcoming Holi festival. The new Holi sticker-pack, as per the company, comes packed with fun, colourful and joyous stickers depicting the true spirit of the festival— from Bollywood references to ‘gujjiyas’ to ‘gulal’ to ‘bhang’.
Hike has been launching sticker packs for various festivals and special days this year. The messaging app, earlier this month, had launched a sticker pack celebrating Women’s Day (March 8). The sticker pack displayed a range of expressions like popular phrases, slangs, equality, women empowerment, excuses and more. The stickers were launched in various themes like Women’s Day Stickers, Women Empowerment Stickers and Things Women Say Stickers.
Earlier in January, Hike had announced new animated stickers to mark the occasion of Makar Sankranti. The stickers were made available in-app from January 11 in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil and English. The sticker pack highlighted the festival’s joy and colour. It depicted kites flying, bonfires for coping with the winter chill and other associated references of the festival.
Similarly, sticker packs for Christmas and New Year were launched on December 21, 2018. Users could choose from over 100 stickers with traditional greetings and more. The sticker packs were based on the festive spirit of the season— feasts, midnight mass, Christmas carol phrases, Santa, Elves and reindeer, new year celebrations and more.
Hike claims that Stickers are its one of the most loved features. Hike says that it offers a library of over 20K stickers in 40+ languages that cover multiple genres which highlight the colourful, cultural landscape of India, Bollywood, comedy, festivals, cricket, kabaddi, local catchphrases, emotions and even excuses.
