It Took 18 Months To Prepare Sonam Kapoor Sangeet Lehenga

Sonam Kapoor pre-wedding events have kick started and all today mehendi ceremony is taking place. The Sonam and Anand will tie the knot on May 8, and all most all Bollywood celebs are expected on that big day. But before the big event, designer Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla has shared a beautiful lehenga pictures. It took designers 18-month for this lehenga, which is infused with Swarovski crystals, sequins, zari and zardosi work in the shades of silver and gold.

Speaking to Vogue India, the designer duo revealed, “This ensemble is a labour of love and joy. Sonam is our absolute favourite and for her wedding, it had to be a fantasy piece that set new creative standards for us in order to do full justice to her and this sacred occasion. She ordered it two years ago and it’s taken multiple teams of artisans eighteen months to create.”

On the other hand Anand Ahuja also opted for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla designed chikankari kurta with multiple stitch and motifs edged with satin, Anand completed his look with an emerald brooch.
