Kareena Kapoor Khan Says 'No One' Can Play Poo From Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham Better Than Her

Kareena Kapoor Khan's portrayal of the iconic character Pooja, also known as Poo, in the movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham has garnered a unique and dedicated fan base. Directed by Karan Johar, this film was released in 2001. Recently, Kareena expressed her views on the possibility of anyone else taking on the role of Poo in Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham.

In an interview with the Indian Express, the Jab We Met actress firmly stated, "No one. No one can replicate Poo better than me. So, it's me once again. Is there really a need to consider recasting this iconic movie? I believe that no one can measure up to those iconic characters."

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham boasted a stellar ensemble cast that included Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Hrithik Roshan in leading roles.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who made her cinematic debut with Refugee, has an impressive filmography, including movies like Chameli, Jab We Met, Omkara, 3 Idiots, Veere Di Wedding, Bodyguard, and many others.

On the professional front, Kareena was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, where she shared the screen with Aamir Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh. Her next project is Sujoy Ghosh's thriller, Jaane Jaan, co-starring Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat in prominent roles. This film is based on the Japanese book "The Devotion of Suspect X" and is scheduled for release on Kareena's birthday, September 21, 2023.
