PICS- Madhuri Dixit Nene To Pull Off A Chandramukhi For Kalank

Karan Johar’s upcoming flick Kalank has been going around in the news for a while ever since the industry mogul has signed Madhuri Dixit-Nene for the film. The actress who has been on shoot at Film City in Mumbai, was spotted in her new look as a courtesan that got leaked and went viral in no time.

Madhuri’s look in this multi-starrer film will remind you of her ensemble as Chandramukhi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic drama Devdas that also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles.

The Bucket List actress will be seen as a brothel head and will be showcasing her dancing skills in the film. Recently, it was reported that Madhuri will be rehearsing for a dance number with Alia Bhatt and will also be seen mentoring Alia and Kiara Advani in dancing.

“Madhuri, who is known for her dancing skills, will be seen playing mentor to Bhatt and Advani’s character. In fact, Advani is only making a cameo appearance in a special song. Madhuri is undergoing rigorous preparation for the role”, as reported by Mid-Day.

The set for the movie in Film City has been erected by shelling out a whopping Rs 15 crore to resemble and old Delhi Mohalla with a palace-like structure.

Kalank is set against India’s partition backdrop and will be sporting the 40s look. The film is based on the story of blacksmiths joining hands with prostitutes to defeat the British.
