Ranveer Singh Speaks On Rumours Of His Father Paying Rs 10 Lakh To Aditya Chopra

Ranveer Singh is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. His latest movie Simmba has crossed Rs 200 crore mark, and even is previous movies like Dil Dhadakne Do, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat were blockbusters. According to India Today, in a recent interview, Ranveer revealed the shocking rumours he heard when he had taken his first steps in Bollywood.

“There were rumours that my father gave Rs 10 lakh to Aditya Chopra to get me launched. That really hurt me, it brought my whole upbringing into question. How can you write something so false that I had never said? I had genuinely struggled and proud of what I achieved. Young actors will message me and ask, “Yo bro, I can cough up the money, tell me what I have to do.” And I have to say that these rumours are not true, stop believing that!” the actor said.

On a work front Ranveer will be seeing with Alia Bhatt in his next musical movie Gully Boy. Ever since the trailer of the film released it has garnered immense praise from all sides. Based on the life of underground rappers in Mumbai, this film also features Kalki Koechlin in a pivotal role.
