Although the recent films of Saif have not worked well at the box office, this doesn’t make the actor worried. The actor thinks that if a bad commercial films fails it’s a thing to worry but if a good experimental film like Kaalakaandi fails it doesn’t affect much as you know that you did the best you can.
“You do the best of what’s happening. You have to be really smart to make a hit film or to make a film that everybody likes. You need to have that balance. I thought Kaalakaandi is a really good film. I am happy with it. It was not very commercial or right kind of film. It’s okay to fail like that, people also don’t feel or take the film as a failure. They appreciate the attempt. What you don’t want is failure in doing something which is regressive and stupid.”
On being quizzed whether we will be seeing him in reality shows promoting his upcoming film Bazaar, the actor said that he doesn’t believe in mindless promotion going from one set to another. “I will do whatever the producer says but I am not going to go every other reality show to promote the film. People are not going watch your film because you tell them to watch it on different platforms, it just creates more awareness about the film. Talking about Bazaar, I am very proud of the film and genuinely believe it’s my best work so far.” concluded the actor.
