Singer Ankit Tiwari To Get Married Soon

The melodious voice behind the male lyrics of Sun Raha Hai Na Tu from ‘Aashiqui 2’ and Galliyan from ‘Ek Villain’, Ankit Tiwari is getting married soon in real life. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the singer is getting married on February 23, 2018. The wedding will be held in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in typical North Indian style. The couple will exchange rings on February 20, which will be followed by pre-wedding ceremonies including Haldi, Sangeet, Mehendi will be organised.

Interesting to note, Ankit’s paternal grandmother had arranged the wedding after she met during a train journey, Kanpur to Delhi. The singer’s grandmother and the bride, reportedly named Pallavi was travelling in the same compartment. The two started talking and hit off instantly. The singer’s grandmother knew she had found the perfect match for her grandson, who doesn’t have time for love due to his work commitments.

Meanwhile, post the marriage the couple plans to host a reception in Mumbai only by next month. Ankit, who was arrested in 2014 for allegedly raping a 28-year-old woman and was acquitted in 2017, further told Mumbai Mirror that Pallavi is aware of his past.
