The Western Railways (WR) has objected to a video made by youths from Virar, who have a YouTube channel called Funcho Entertainment. The youths took the ‘Kiki challenge’, which is based on the song ‘In My Feelings’ by Drake, recording a video of a commuter alighting from a moving train at Virar station’s Platform No. 1 and dancing to the song. Their video has been viewed 1.4 million times.
WR authorities have said such a video will only encourage more people to enact this challenge, which can be life-threatening. “We will take legal action against Dhruv Shah as Funcho Entertainment belongs to him and even he is featured in this video. Making such videos in local trains is illegal,” said a WR official. Central Railways (CR) too has been a locale for this perilous dare. A youth undertook the ‘Kiki challenge’ on July 30 in a moving train at CSMT. The video uploaded on YouTube, got 1,552 views.
In the video, the youngster is first seen dancing to the Kiki track in a local train compartment. Soon, the train leaves the platform and the youth is seen hopping off the train, dancing for some time on the platform, before jumping back in. Afterwards, he is seen waiting on the platform next to a train that is about to start moving. He starts dancing again, goes into the compartment and continues moving to the music, after which he hops back out on the platform and continues dancing.
Sachin Bhalode, senior divisional security commissioner, CR, said, “The person will be identified and action taken against him. These stunts will provoke others to imitate it. We request commuters not to do any stunts in local trains as it can be life-threatening.”
