But if you are wondering which shades will look good for the Indian skin tone then this post is meant for you. Hair color shades can range from richest black to platinum blonde. But every color is not meant for the Indian skin tone, here are some shades that are very generic so, you can choose them to suit your complexion beautifully without looking over the top or you may ask the stylist at the salon.
# Brown Hair Color
Shades of brown looks good on fair to medium Indian skin tones as the lightness of the brown which get accentuated in the sunlight, makes the complexion even beautiful. Light brown suits all ages and for men too who would like to color their hair.
# Red Hair Color
Red hair color also looks good on yellow undertone skin colors. Reds like maroon, deep wine color, burgundy, auburn add a nice touch of warm tinge to the hair. Shades of reds looks lovely on medium to fair skin tones.
# Black Hair Color
Black and dark grays can be tried by medium to dark complexions as black hair color generally looks too rich and vibrant for the fair skinned complexions. L’Oreal casting Crème has a shade called ebony black which is good for dusky girls who already have naturally black hair and would like to color the grays, that color is good for covering grays.
# Light Hair Color
Light colors includes honey blonde, blonde, golden, mahogany etc. These are the colors that can be tried by fair Indian skin tones as for darker complexions these can make the dark color even more darker. Thus, fair skin can carry such light colors nicely. Medium skin tones too can try the dark golden, darker honey shades for their medium to wheatish complexion or can use the shades of brown as their base color and use these colors as highlights and low lights. Lighters colors are also good for the Balayage highlights or the ombre effect.
