Your colon is the last part of your large intestine and the last part of your digestive tract. When the cancer is first developing, you get what is called adenomatous polyps. Adenomatous polyps are non-cancerous lumps that turn into colon cancer as time goes on.
There are a few symptoms that can really point out that you should see your doctor for colon cancer or for other underlying issues.
Some of these symptoms are an unexplainable loss of weight, blood in your stool or rectal bleeding, constipation or diarrhea that lasts more than four weeks, feeling as though your bowel doesn’t fully empty, gas, abdominal pain and or cramps, and weakness.
# Eat Healthily
You want to make sure you get plenty of fiber, especially if you’re battling constipation. You can find natural fiber in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Each fruit, veggies, and grain have different kinds of minerals and vitamins that are just good for you in general.

This could be linked to tip two, but it is also a good suggestion on its own. Exercise can help so many different things and it is known for helping to prevent various kinds of cancer.
# Limit Meat
This is namely pointed at the processed meat of any kind and read meat. These two types of meat make it easy to get colon cancer. The less you eat the better. If you do eat red and or processed meats, try not to have more than three servings a week.
# Vitamin D and Calcium
These two are known for lowering the chances of getting colon cancer. You can add them to your diet through various foods or you can get them through capsules. It is suggested that you try to ask your doctor about getting tested for a deficiency in either of these.
# Do Not Over Do It
While you might have to take supplements for different vitamins, compounds, minerals, or what have you, it is best that you do not take too much. This is something that people tend to run into and it can cause more harm than good. Listen to the directions on the bottle or the instructions from your doctor, and the pills and/or supplements should help you like they are meant to.
# Limit Sugars and Fats
Limiting the number of fats you eat can help you as well. Not only will this help you from putting on weight with bad fats, it can help to prevent colon cancer as well. Cutting back on sugar helps in the same way that limiting fats does. Rather than cane sugar, try something like Stevia.
# More Garlic
Garlic does not only keep vampires at bay. This natural ingredient also repairs cells, stops the activation and formation of things that bring cancer, slow/stop cell death, and builds your immune system.
