5 Tips To Prevent Yourself From Coronavirus

There is currently no vaccine to prevent 2019-nCoV infection. The best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to this virus. However, as a reminder, CDC always recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.
Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness, such as coughing and sneezing, the World Health Organization says.Other symptoms of this coronavirus include fever and shortness of breath. Severe cases can lead to pneumonia, kidney failure and even death.
* Wash your hands
If you are someone who washes her hands only after using the loo, change this habit immediately. Wash your hands as often as you can - when you reach home from work, before you eat, after you eat, when you go out and many more times. Wash your hands for 20 seconds at least with soap and water. You can also use an alcohol-based sanitizer in the absence of soap.
* Do not touch your face
The easiest way for the virus to enter your body is through your nose, eyes and mouth. Since your hands touch all kinds of surfaces, from your laptop, work desk to the toilet doorknob, it's best to avoid touching your face, which increases your possibility of getting infected.
* Wear a mask
It's best to wear a mask, especially when you are in a public place. All types of viruses can be easily transmitted from one person to another through their cough and sneeze (saliva droplets). Thus, it's best to wear a mask and save yourself and others too.
* Sanitize your phone and laptop
Several studies have already claimed that your phone and laptop are dirtier than the toilet seat. The claim is true. Do you remember the last time you cleaned your laptop or phone? Probably not. We use them all the time, keep them everywhere, touch them with our dirty hands but don't clean them as often as we should. Clean your phone and laptop once every day.
* Stay at home if you are sick
Even if you have common cold and flu, stay at home so that you do not spread the virus to others. Use a tissue to cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze and throw the tissue in the trash. If your symptoms seem to worsen, talk to your doctor immediately and get yourself tested.
