Aloe vera isn’t just for sunburns—it’s a plant full of nutrients and vitamins that may help fight a cold and other common ailments.
Aloe vera just might be our new favorite plant. This green plant has thick, rigid leaves that shoot upwards and are rimmed with small white teeth. And, in summer, the aloe vera plant blooms into flowers at the top of each leafy spike.

# Sunburns

Aloe vera gel also functions as an antimicrobial. This is what helps it to get rid of plaque, it can kill viruses and bacteria, and even reduce herpes symptoms. Aloe vera gel also stops the growth of fungi and kills it. It stops the growth of bacteria growth by breaking apart the cells.
