World Health Day- 6 Bollywood Celebs You Should Follow For Fitness
By: Kratika Thu, 07 Apr 2022 6:32:26
In effect from 1950, after its inception at the First Health Assembly in 1948, World Health Day is celebrated globally each year on 7th April. It is one of the crucial health campaigns of the World Health Organisation (WHO). With the objectives to ensure accessibility to quality health services for all people and communities without suffering financial hardship and creating awareness about various health issues and care systems, the theme for World Health Day 2019 is “Universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere.”
Reading quotes for health and fitness inspiration is great, but reading alone won't help you get healthier or fitter. It takes discipline, even when motivation hits zero, to work out or do some sort of physical activity to stay in shape – just like these Bollywood actors, who refuse to sit back and relax irrespective of how old they are. They have been constantly giving people fitness goals, even when they're well over 40. These actors are proof that when it comes to health and fitness, age can never be an obstruction.
# Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar is easily one of Bollywood’s fittest actors. Even at 54, the actor is giving unbeatable fitness goals – be it performing his own stunts in movies, swimming with weights, working out with wooden beads, doing a handstand and then walking on his hands, doing the bottle cap challenge or being an absolute badass at the gym. Akshay Kumar, who is also trained in martial arts, recently turned vegan and only eats healthy, home-cooked meals.
# Farhan Akhtar
Farhan’s agility and fitness came to surface when he shared his unbelievable transformation and chiselled physique, from the upcoming movie Toofan where he plays a boxer. The actor had to put on 15 kilos in 6 weeks for the movie. The 48-year-old actor once said in an interview, “For me, fitness is a way of life and not just a routine. Irrespective of my craft, I choose to live a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. I’ve always refrained from indulging in things that could have adverse effects on my body.”
# Hrithik Roshan
The actor’s physique and lifestyle have often been the talk of the town. However, nothing is miraculous here, nor is the 48-year-old sipping any magic potion to reverse ageing. Hrithik Roshan, and the whole Roshan clan, it appears, are bona fide fitness freaks. Hrithik follows a strict workout regime that includes cardio and weight training. His diet mantra is to eat small meals at regular intervals to keep the hunger pangs at bay.
# John Abraham
Apart from owning an envious collection of bikes, John is unarguably one of the hottest and fittest Bollywood actors who can give people half his age a run for their money. There may have been a couple of hits and misses in the acting career of this model-turned-actor, but his always-on-point fitness game is stronger than ever. The actor also credited an alcohol-free, sugar-free and nicotine-free lifestyle to be the secret to his good health and physique.
# Anil Kapoor
Anil Kapoor looks as good as he did when he made his debut in Bollywood. Actually, he’s looking even better at 65. With his hard work and dedication towards fitness, Anil Kapoor has managed to reverse time, so much so that people made jokes on how he looks younger than his son-in-law, Anand Ahuja. The actor recently shared pictures and videos on social media, where he’s working out at home, with the caption, “You are your own motivation!”
# Saif Ali Khan
At 51, Saif Ali Khan is soaring new heights, both professionally and physically. During the shooting of Laal Kaptaan, the makers shared a BTS video that showed how the actor trained hard to get into the skin of the character. The Sacred Games actor also follows a healthy and balanced diet that includes rice, dal and vegetables, and follows a routine that is a mix of yoga and cardio.
