5 Most Crowded Place On Earth

If you have seen our list on the 25 most remote places in the world then you are familiar with how desolate our planet can be. On the other extreme, however, there are places where you might have a hard time keeping people out of your bubble. These are the 5 most crowded places on Earth.

* The most crowded place in the world is the Mongkok commercial and residential district found in Hong Kong. With over 340,000 people per square mile nothing else on Earth comes even close.

* Located in the middle of the Afghan desert in Camp Bastion, a British military base, it should come as no surprise that this trauma hospital is by far the busiest on Earth, with doctors and medical assets from all over the world working there non stop day and night.

* If you thought New York City was crowded, think again. With only about 30,000 people per square mile it’s a desert compared to Manila. As the capital of the Philippines and most densely populated city in the world it has over 110,000 people per square mile.

* Although the United States is home to the largest road network in the world it is Canada that takes first place in the busy highway category. Known as King’s highway 401, this stretch of road from Windsor to Quebec is one of the widest and busiest in the world with over half a million cars shuttling back and forth daily.

* Just southwest of Chengdu in China you will find what many consider to the be the world’s most crowded parking lot. While the lot itself is not that big with only 50 spaces inside of its 5,400 square feet, on an average day it holds over 70 cars. In spite of the congestion locals claim that in the past year there has been only one minor scrape.
