# Lumbini

# Kathmandu Durbar Square
Also reckoned as the Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square is famous for its architectural legacy and also for its mesmerizing charm. Located in the center of the city of Lalitpur, Patan Durbar Square is the third popular Durbar Square in the country. However, this is called as the smallest amongst all the Durbar Squares but this is also renowned as the most beautiful. This splendid construction was built during the 14th to the 18th century during the reign of Malla Kings especially during the ruling period of King Siddhi Narsingh Malla. The structure was damaged in the incident of 2015 earthquake but has regained its beauty and glory more than earlier even.
# Swayambhunath Stupa
Nestled on the top of a hill this amazing structure overlooks the majestic Kathmandu Valley. It is believed to be one of the most acclaimed and the ancient Buddhist Stupa in the country and is home to numerous monasteries and shrines. The architecture looks quite appealing and inviting to the tourists as it is beautifully adorned with the paintings and inscriptions representing the eyes and the eyebrows of Lord Buddha depicted on the walls.
