The reason for this place being on top of this list is primarily due to my immense love for waterfalls. With high cliffs, rocky terrain and bouts of greenery here and there, Vantawng Falls is a sight to behold.You can trek all the way up here and click some amazing pictures. Set up at an altitude of 1678 m, Champhai is a fast-developing town in the Indo-Myanmar borders. Filled with fruit trees, orchids and lots of varieties of butterflies, it is a must-visit place in not only Mizoram but India as well. Besides these factors, Champhai is also famous for its many numbers of tribal communities who display various cultural traditions. The town also has acres of rice fields that sustain the majority of the population in the state.
* Lunglei
It is the second largest town in the state after the capital. Lunglei literally translates to “bridge of rock”. The locals believe that this is because of a large rock in the town that resembles a bridge.Lunglei has a lot of monuments and ruins signifying its great past. But it’s best if you just trek on its hills and appreciate the fantastic view. You can also visit the many memorials in the town. Interact with the locals to know more about the various folklore and traditions existing in this quaint town.
