Panna district is famous for its diamond mines and managed under the NMDC of Government of India. There are more places to visit in and around Panna like Mahamati Prannathji Temple, Padmavati Devi Temple, Baldeoji Temple and Panna National Park.
Panna National Park in the Vindhya Hills is spread over an area of 542.6 sq km. It is the fifth tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh and the 22nd such reserve in India. Panna was awarded the title of being the best maintained among the various national parks of India in 2007. The award was given by the Ministry of Tourism of India. There are several tourist places to visit in the vicinity of Panna National Park. These will be discussed below.

Panna district is known for only active Diamond mine of India, Diamond mines in Panna are managed by NMDC of Government of India. Majhagaon diamond mine is located in the Panna district about 55km away from Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh.
# Panna National Park
Panna National Park is the best maintained national park of India of 2017 and currently home to 44 royal Bengal tigers. Once upon a time by 2012, the entire tiger population of Panna tiger reserve was eliminated and today a healthy tiger population dominate the landscape.
