# Bara Imambara

This Shrine was built by Nawab Asaf Ud Daula in 1784. The word Bara means big and the word Imambara means the complex of the Shrine. Going by the name Bara Imambara is one of the largest buildings in Lucknow. Bara Imambara houses the Asfi Mosque which contains the Tomb of Nawab Asaf Ud Daula. It also has the ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ which is a labyrinth or a maze. This is surely one of the best places to visit in Lucknow due to the interesting facts associated with it.

# Ambedkar Memorial Park

This is a Public park and memorial in Gomti Nagar is dedicated to the father of Indian Constitution- Dr. B.R. Ambedkar . The monument of the park was built in red sandstone and looks splendid in daylight as well as at night. It is spread across an area of 108 acres and also honors some other eminent personalities like. Kanshi Ram, Birsa Munda, Shahuji Maharaj, Jyotirao Phule. Some featuring sites of this park are Ambedkar Stupa, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Gallery, Pratibimb Sthal, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Drashya Sthal and well maintained lawns. # Hazratganj Market

Hazratganj is the epicenter for shopping in Lucknow. It has a mix of Indian and Western Culture as it has Indian Traditional bazaars as well as it has shopping complexes, restaurants, theaters etc. One can find items like Handicrafts, jewelry, handlooms, electronics, clothes, cuisines in this age old market in Lucknow. # Lucknow Museum

This historical museum is one of the largest and oldest museums in the whole state of Uttar Pradesh. It houses antique items from even the Gupta Empire period. # Lucknow Zoo

This Zoo was established in 1921 to commemorate the arrival of the Prince of Wales. Thus, it is also known as The Prince of Wales Zoological Park. It is a large zoo, spread over an area of 71 acres. The zoo contains endangered species like Indian Wolf, The White Tiger, Hog Deer etc. It also contains various species of reptiles, birds and animals like elephants, giraffes. # British Residency

Although this residency exists as ruins now, people who are keen on history would find this place interesting due to the events associated with it. It was built in 1800 AD. It used to be the residence of British Resident General until it got subjected to the ‘Siege of Lucknow’ in 1857 which was part of the 1857 War of Indian Independence. Now, it is a tourist attraction due to its historical architecture, lawns and flowerbeds.
