India, as we all know, has vast historical importance. It was inhabited by the number of rulers at different times. Due to an experience of different reigns, India has a rich heritage, culture, and architecture that make it a fascinating tourist destination. The glory of its rich history is still alive in the form of beautiful palaces, monuments that speak the architectural opulence and grandeur of that time. These palaces were built by the former Maharajas, Kings, and Nizams who once lived here.
Although all the palaces have some architectural and historical importance, there are some palaces a traveler must visit to have a glimpse of royalty that once lived here. Many of these palaces are now converted into heritage hotels but that has not brought any change in beauty and architecture.
# Lake Palace, Udaipur
Lake Palace located in the city of Udaipur in the Rajasthan state of India. Lake Palace is the most visited place among Udaipur’s tourist attractions. It is called Lake Palace because it is on the banks of Pichola Lake.
City Palace has 11 palaces in it, which were built by different rulers. City Palace’s interior is an amazing blend of artistic delicate mirror-work, marble work, murals, wall paintings, silverwork, and a surplus of colored glass. The palace has now been converted into a heritage hotel.

Laxmi Vilas Palace located in the Vadodara city of Gujarat is four times the size of the majestic Buckingham Palace in London. It is spread over an area of 500 acres and served the royal family of Vadodara. It is also known as Maharaja Palace. This palace of India is built in an old classical style. The house of royalty, Rambagh Palace was founded in 1835 and was later renovated as a hunting lodge for Maharajas. Rambagh was transformed into a palace in 1925 and became the residence of Maharaja of Jaipur. The Rambagh Palace of India is located in Jaipur state Rajasthan. In 1957, the palace is converted into a heritage hotel and managed by the Taj group.
