But take just a small step and you can visit this magical land that is famous as the land of the Seven Sisters. # Kaziranga National Park, Assam
Kaziranga National Park is most famous for its Great One-horned Rhinoceros. You will find this great beast grazing in the grasslands. It is quite difficult to spot it in the tall elephant grass that almost hides him from view. But he is not the only creature that you can spot here. There are tigers, elephants, leopards, jungle cats, bears, and many other creatures. You can also spot turtles, crocodiles, snakes, and migratory birds here. Kaziranga National Park is one of India’s best UNESCO Heritage Sites. Brahmaputra river flows through this national park making it full of swampy marshes, tropical jungles, grasslands, and dense forests.

Kanchendzonga National Park in Sikkim is one of the best national parks in the North-Eastern state of Sikkim. With a rich topography of alpine meadows, river streams, high-altitude lakes, ancient Buddhist monasteries, snow-clad mountain peaks, glaciers, and forests, Kanchendzonga National Park is a treat for wildlife lovers. You can spot rare animals such as Snow Leopard, Himalayan Tahr, and Red Panda here. Himalayan Monal pheasant, Satyr Tragopan, and Himalayan Snow Cock are some of the majestic colored birds that you can spot here. The Kanchendzonga National Park has almost 17 lakes and innumerable glaciers. Some of the most famous trekking routes in northeast India are in this national park. April to May is the best time to visit Kanchendzonga National Park.
# Manas National Park, Assam
There are national parks like Manas National Park in Assam which is famous for its wildlife sightings. Tourists visit this national park to see the rhinoceros in its natural habitat. But you can also go on an elephant safari deep into the jungles and spot tigers, water buffalo, deer, langur, red panda, and other animals. You can take a jungle walk and visit tribals living inside the park. You can do river rafting and see aquatic life in the river. If you are visiting in the right season, you can also see tea workers working in tea estates. October to February is the best time and season to visit Manas National park.
# Dibru-Saikhowa National Park, Assam
The most wonderful thing about Dibru-Saikhowa National Park is that there are no elephant or jeep safaris here. You can go on a boat and spot the various birds and animals from a distance. Much of this national park has wetlands and marshes. But other parts of this national park also have forests and grasslands. Birds like a white-winged wood duck, Bengal Florican, pelicans, storks, and herons can be found here in the marshes and swamps. You will find jungle trekking trails here, but most prefer a boat to spot animals, birds, and reptiles. If you are in luck, you can also spot wild horses, tigers, and langurs in this national park.

Orang National Park is one of the oldest national parks in northeastern India. This national park is located on the Brahmaputra river, which flows through Assam. The most famous attraction of Orang National Park is the Great Indian One-horned Rhinoceros. You can easily spot the animals roaming in the grasslands in this national park. Royal Bengal Tiger is another attraction of this national park. Tourists generally prefer to go on an elephant safari when they visit Orang National Park. There are many other wild animals here like Pygmy Hog, elephants, water buffaloes, porcupines, dolphins, etc. March and April are the best months to visit this park.
# Nameri National Park, Assam
