Join me on a journey to Spiti Valley, a charming cold desert village in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh. Situated at an elevation of 3,800 meters, Spiti is renowned for its serene monasteries, pristine skies, and the world’s highest polling station.

Though remote, Spiti is well-connected, with petrol stations, medical shops, and ATMs available along the route, although the ATMs may occasionally be out of service.

Finding accommodation and dining options in Spiti is easy. You can stay in local guesthouses or try camping by the river for a touch of adventure. It’s advisable to spend one or two days acclimating to the high altitude. To stay healthy, take long walks and rest as needed.
