International Yoga Day- List Of Maestros On The Path Of Yoga From Around The World

Yoga find its roots in the sanskrit word called “Yuj” which means to “To Unite Or To Join Together” designed aesthetically with special body postures for one’s relaxation on a spiritual level and physical plain as well.
It has been an inevitable practice for yogis since ancient times and is now the most internationally celebrated bodily art forms, crafted by internationally acclaimed and renowned yoga gurus from around the world.
Here is a list of maestros on the path of yoga who have promoted this bodily art backed with Indian ethos in the world with the vision to make lives better for all.
* TIRUMALAI KRISHNAMACHARYA
The list would be incomplete without the founder and the guiding light of Ashtanga Yoga who had incorporated the specific yoga asanas with breathing techniques and chanting of bhajans, a complete package that unites the mind, body and soul. He is called as the father of modern yoga, as he taught viniyoga derived from the “yoga sutras of patanjali” which claimed that every individual has different needs and must be treated according to that.
* RODNEY YEE
Rodney Yee an American by nationality and the co-owner of a famous Yoga studio named Yoga Shanti. He is a prominent yoga instructor whose inclination towards the utilization of mind, body and soul all together led him to the land of yoga in early 1990’s which satiated his desires and the impact that his teachings and yoga practices have on the masses is remarkable.
* ALAN FINGER
Alan Finger the son of Mani finger who hails from South Africa was very well acquainted with the yoga practices because of his father as he was a renowned yogi. He practiced Ishta Yoga and was much acclaimed as the Tantric and Kriya Yoga Master in his native place. He mixed different styles and came out with his unique form with a blend of Hath, Tantra and Ayurveda. He is now a yogi for more that 50 years.
* KIA MILLER
Kia Miller is a certified yoga practitioner and founder of Radiant Body Yoga in Venice, CA who discovered her need for peace and higher consciousness and found yoga as a medium to nourish the mind, body and soul and feel comfortable in one’s own body.
She is a devoted yogini who imparts knowledge about yoga and its impact. She is certified in Ashtanga/Vinyasa flow tradition and Kundalini Yoga as well.
* BARON BAPTISTE
Baron Baptiste being a renowned yoga teacher is of no surprise as he was born to America’s pioneered yoga instructors Magna and Walt Baptiste. As he grew up with yoga, he recalls his trips to India where he was also the part of pilgrims to Rishikesh. He incorporated different styles of yoga like Ashtanga, Iyengar, Raja and Bikram he came up with his own unique style in the form of Power Yoga which claims that yoga is 20% mechanics and 80% spiritual psychology.
