Coping with the high heat during the summer season can be a very big challenge. On days like this, we all have that familiar feeling of getting claustrophobic when inside the home. It is common to blame the heat for this, but the real problem is poor ventilation. Here are some great ways to increase ventilation inside your home.
* Condensation
condensation is mostly during the cold winters as there is a difference between the cold temperature outside and the warm indoors. There will be a moisture build-up in the home as you do anything and this will condense in the walls.
* Mould Growth
High humidity and poor ventilation in your home can lead to an increase in the build-up of mould on your walls, floors, furniture, and ceilings. Mould is a green or black spotting with a musty smell and might cause health problems like allergic reactions and other cold-like symptoms.
* Damaged Walls
Increased levels of moisture can peel and wrinkle the wall paint. This will lead to possible health issues and extra cost for maintenance.
* Lingering Odours
Bad smells will linger in your house when there is poor ventilation since there is no movement of air to remove these odours. It can cause long-term health issues when this air is constantly taken in by the person especially when the air is smoke related or harmful chemical.
* Low Oxygen Levels
There will be a build-up in the levels of carbon-dioxide levels in the home and less oxygen. This means that you could suffer from headaches, shortness of breath, and fatigue.
