One default but harmful way of cleaning this furniture is to pick the readymade but usually chemical based product from the market shelves. However, the best way to clean kitchen cabinets is by making your safer cleaning product, at home, with few easily available ingredients. Remember! The type of cleaner you use would depend on the material with which your cabinet has been constructed. Following are the recipes according to your cabinet material.
* Vinegar with Oil & water paste
Olive oil – 2 tablespoon
Vinegar – 5 tablespoon
Warm water – 2 cups
- Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle.
- Shake the bottle well before using.
- To clean, spray some amount on the knobs and surface of the cabinet and gently wipe away with a rag cloth or a scrub.
- Do not go harsh, as it may wear of the polish over the wood.
* Vinegar & salt paste
Vinegar – 1 cup
Salt – 1 cup
- The quantities do not matter much, as long as it is a 50-50%.
- Mix both the ingredients into a paste.
- Smear the paste on the target spot. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Scrub gently with a toothbrush to remove the stains.
- Rub it with a wet cloth and dab it with a dry towel.
* Vinegar with Baking soda Paste
Vinegar – ½ cup
Baking Soda – 1 cup
- Make a paste by mixing the two ingredients.
- Apply it over trouble areas and let it sit for 4 minutes.
- Scrub it gently with a toothbrush and wipe it with a wet cloth.
- Dab a dry towel over the spot.

* Baking Soda & Water
Baking soda – 1 cup
Water – as needed

- Scrub it with a sponge or a brush.
- Remove it with a wet cloth, and dab a dry towel over it.
* Warm water, white vinegar & detergent
Water – 1 gallon
Detergent – 1 tablespoon
White Vinegar – 1 tablespoon
- Mix the ingredients in a bowl.
- Immerse a sponge for about a minute.
- Squeeze the sponge and use it to rub off the dirt stains.
- Rub it with a wet cloth and dab a dry towel over.
- Do not let the air dry it since it will leave behind stains.
* Soap & detergent
Dishwasher soap – few squirt drops
Laundry detergent – 1 cup
Warm water – 1 gallon
- Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle. Spray it over the grease stains.
- Rub it with a wet cloth till the soap is clean.
- Dry with a towel.
