If you've chopped garlic before, you've probably noticed that the smell likes to stick around on your hands, and soap doesn't do much to get it off. If you want to really get rid of that smell, you can just rub your hands with a spoon.
# Salt
Wash your hands with salt. I do a mixture of salt and hand soap and scrub my finger tips. It's like a body scrub.
# Stainless Steel
If you want to really get rid of that smell, you can just rub your hands with a spoon. This trick actually works with both garlic and onions, whose smells can be neutralized with stainless steel. All you need to do is rub your hands with a stainless steel object (like a spoon, knife, or even the edge of your sink) under cold water, as if the spoon were soap.
# Lemon Juice
Try washing your hands with some of the juice and some cool water to remove the onion smell on your hands. For easier cleanup, you can also just rub the lemon over your hands, but make sure you get between your fingers, too.
