1 cup broccoli florets (steamed and cooled)
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup spinach leaves (optional, for extra greens)
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or any non-dairy yogurt)
1 cup almond milk (or your preferred milk)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ice cubes (as needed)
How to Make Broccoli Smoothie
To make a delicious and nutritious broccoli smoothie, start by preparing the broccoli. Steam one cup of broccoli florets until tender but still vibrant green, then allow them to cool completely. Steaming enhances the flavor and makes the broccoli easier to blend.
Once the broccoli is ready, add it to a blender along with one ripe banana, half a cup of spinach leaves for extra greens (optional), half a cup of plain Greek yogurt or non-dairy yogurt, and one cup of almond milk or your preferred type of milk. For added sweetness, include a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup, and enhance the flavor with half a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
