# Quinoa and Black Bean Burger
Ingredients of Quinoa and Black Bean Burger
1 cup cooked quinoa
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 egg (or flax egg for vegan option)

Optional toppings: avocado slices, tomato slices, lettuce, salsa
How to Make Quinoa and Black Bean Burger
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, mash a can of drained and rinsed black beans with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth. Add 1 cup of cooked quinoa, 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of finely chopped red onion, 1/4 cup of finely chopped red bell pepper, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well, then stir in 1 egg (or a flax egg for a vegan option) until the mixture is well combined. Form the mixture into patties and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
