How to Make Badam Milk

To prepare Badam Milk, start by soaking 15-20 almonds in water overnight or for at least 6-8 hours. Peel the skin off the soaked almonds and grind them into a smooth paste using a small amount of water or milk.

In a saucepan, heat 2 cups of milk over medium heat. Bring it to a gentle boil and then reduce the heat to low. Stir in the almond paste, ensuring there are no lumps, and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. Add 2-3 tablespoons of sugar or jaggery, ½ teaspoon of cardamom powder, and a pinch of saffron soaked in warm milk. Stir well to combine.

For a health boost, add a pinch of turmeric powder, which complements the flavors and enhances the nutritional value. Cook the mixture on low heat for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Turn off the heat and pour the Badam Milk into serving glasses or mugs. Garnish with chopped nuts like almonds, pistachios, or cashews for added texture and richness. Serve warm for a soothing drink or refrigerate and enjoy it chilled.
