Know How To Make Cucumber Chutney

Cucumbers have a mild, refreshing taste and a high water content. They can help relieve dehydration and are pleasant to eat in hot weather. People eat cucumber as a savory food, but it is a fruit. It also features in some beauty products.Here is cucumber chutney recipe-
Ingredients
Cucumbers peeled 2 medium
Oil 2 tablespoon
Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon
Cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon
Split Bengal gram (chana dal) 1 teaspoon
Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal) 1 teaspoon
Garlic 5-6 cloves
Curry leaves 7-8
Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon
Dried red chillies broken 2
Salt to taste
Green chillies 2
Tamarind pulp 1 1/2 teaspoons
Method
- Heat oil in a non stick pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, garlic cloves, curry leaves, asafoetida, red chillies and saute till fragrant.
- Roughly chop cucumbers and add and saute for 1 minute. Add salt and green chillies and mix well.
- Cool slightly and transfer into a mixer jar. Add tamarind pulp and grind coarsely. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
