We all buy fruit juice from the market. We also buy & drink gallons of fruity milkshakes from local juice/drink stall. Most of us often prefer to start the morning with a glass of fruit juice in our breakfast. But mostly those juices are packaged drink bought from the market for breakfast. But we hardly try to make fruit drinks at home. Many people can make fruity mixed drinks but they do this occasionally during weekends or holidays. But still, many people do not want to try homemade fruity mixed drinks because they feel it needs a lot of hassle or it won’t be as delicious as fruit drinks bought from the market. # Chikoo milkshake
Chikoo milkshake is a very popular drink. Almost everybody in this country has tried this drink and enjoyed. People love this fruit because of its nice flavor & sweetness. You just need to remove its seeds and eat whole fruit. That is why milkshake prepared with this fruit is also hassle-free.
Ingredients
2 chikoo/chikku/chiku
1 glass chilled full cream milk
½ tsp vanilla essence
2 tsp cashew paste
1 scoop vanilla ice cream, optional
2 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Peel skin of chiku fruit, remove seeds
- Add everything in a blender then blend it to make an awesome milkshake
- Pour this in a glass and add ice cream on the top, optional, (I do not prefer)
- Serve this cold
# Watermelon mocktail
Watermelon is another very popular summer fruit. It is very juicy & full of minerals & other nutrients. You can make an awesome drink with this fruit. Though there are many other summer drinks can be made with this fruit but I found this watermelon mocktail best for morning breakfast or even for afternoon light meal.
Ingredients
1 small watermelon
3 tsp lemon juice
10-12 mint leaves
½ tsp black salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 glass water
Instructions
- Remove seeds from watermelon pieces and put those in a blender, add lemon juice, mint leaves, black salt, sugar and blend it to make a smooth puree
- Now you can strain that puree into a large bowl but you can avoid this step
- Then add water and again mix it with watermelon & lemon juice
- Keep that large bowl in the freezer and wait till it becomes semi-frozen
- Now before serving blend it again & serve.
# Mango iced tea
Iced tea is a favorite drink of many people across the world. Particularly during summer, most people enjoy this iced tea instead of normal hot tea. This mango iced tea also a great option in various types of iced tea. If mango is your favorite summer fruit then you can try this mango iced tea in this summer and make this summer special.
Ingredients
Mango - 1 medium size, perfectly ripe
Tea leaves - 2 tsp
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Water - 2 glasses
Instructions
- Peel ripe mango and cut into pieces and blend in a mixie to make smooth puree
- Now filter it to remove pulp residual and preserve mango juice for further use
- Now heat water in a cooking pot till water start producing bubbles, add sugar and stir
- Add tea leaves and switch off fire and rest it for 10 minutes and then filter to separate tea leaves
- Now add mango juice to tea extract and mix all
- Keep in refrigerator for one hour and blend again and pour into glasses serve with ice cubes or crushed ice
# Power packed mango smoothie
Though mango smoothie is very common but this power-packed mango smoothie is different. Here a lot of cashew nuts, peanuts, fresh cream are used. Honey & raisins are used to make this drink sweet instead of using sugar.
Ingredients
Mango - 2 medium size
Honey - 1 tbsp
Cashew nuts - 20 gm
Peanuts - 10 gm
Raisins - 10 gm
Fresh cream - 2 tbsp
Chilled water - 2 glasses
Instructions
- Peel skin of mangoes and remove seed, now blend it to make smooth puree
- Add all other ingredients (honey, cashew nuts, peanuts, raisins, fresh cream) and blend again in a mixie
- Check the smoothness, then add chilled water and mix the puree with water
- Keep it in refrigerator for one hour (optional) and serve
# Bel ka sharbat
This is a true country (desi) drink. No fancy color, no glamour, no special appeal but people just love this because it is good for health and a perfect drink for summer. It helps in digestion. It will help you to fill your stomach because this drink is thick. Some people even add milk to this drink to make it heavier.
Ingredients
Pulp of 1 wood apple fruit /bel/bael
1 tablespoon sugar
Salt as needed
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Pinches of chaat masala/roasted cumin powder/jaljeera, optional
3 glasses of chilled water
Instructions
- Break hard skin of wood apple/bel, extract its pulp and remove seeds
- Add sugar, salt, lemon juice
- Then add pinches of chaat masalal/roasted cumin powder/jaljeera, if needed; optional
- Pour 3 glasses of water
- Blend with had blender or manual blender
- Serve chilled, add ice cubes if you want.
