Recipe- 5 Healthy Herbal Drinks To Try

Herbs are plants what may have aromatic & medicinal benefits. There are several herbs what are traditionally being used by people for various purposes. Scientists & researchers are studying medicinal & nutritional values of those herbs. There are many beneficial herbs what modern scientists also claimed. But still, there are many researches what say such herbs may have some harmful side effects. So every plant may have certain benefits as well as harmful side effects. That is why I do not prefer to consume same herbs repeatedly.
# Gotu kola extract herbal juice
Ingredients
25-30 gotu kola leaves/ thankuni pata
3 tsp amla juice/Indian gooseberry extract
5-6 Indian holy basil/ tulsi patta
2 tsp ginger juice
Handful fresh mint leaves/pudina patta
1.5 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp black pepper powder
Pinches of black salt
2 glass of chilled water
Method
- Add everything in a blender, 1 cup of chilled water and blend to make a smooth puree
- Now strain it into a large bowl, add residual chilled water and stir to mix
- Serve this in a glass with ice cubes (optional)
# Lemongrass and ginger tea
Ingredients
1 handful lemongrass leaves & stem
1 inch size ginger
2 teaspoons of honey
2.5 glasses of water
Method
- Cut ginger into thin slices, wash lemongrasses properly under running tap water
- Now boil water in a pot and add lemongrass leaves, stem, ginger slices and boil for next 10 minutes
- Then switch off fire and strain the extract, now add honey to lemongrass ginger extract and stir.
- Keep it in the refrigerator for next 2-3 hours and then drin.
# Green juice
Ingredients
2 cucumbers
Handful gotu kola leaves
10-15 mint leaves (pudina patta)
Half of lemon, juice
Pinches of black salt
1 glass of chilled water
Method
- Wash cucumber, mint leaves & gotu kola leaves under running water
- Then put those in a blender and blend it to make smooth puree
- Now strain that puree into a large bowl and keep it aside
- Then pour chilled water in that blender, add lemon juice, black salt & that juice, mix all
- Now serve it in glasses.
# Tulsi gotu kola tea
Ingredients
Handful gotu kola leaves/thankuni pata/Centella Asiatica leaves
8-10 tulsi leaves/Indian holy basil leaves
2.5 cup water
For Salty Tea
Black salt as needed
1.5 tsp lemon juice
For Sweet Tea
2 tsp sugar or honey
Method
- Add gotu kola leaves and tulsi leaves in a blender and pour water, now blend it.
- Then boil this mixture for 5-6 minutes and strain it and pour tulsi gotu kola tea into cups.
- Now add lemon juice & black (for salty tea) or sugar/honey (for sweet tea).
# Gotu kola mint juice
Ingredients
1 cup gotu kola (Centella Asiatica) leaves
½ cup mint leaves/pudina patta
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
Pinches of black salt or normal salt
2 glasses of chilled water
Method
- Wash gotu kola leaves & mint leaves properly and add to a blender
- Add lemon juices, roasted cumin powder, salt and 1 tbsp of water
- Now blend it to make a smooth puree
- Strain it into a bowl, add residual water and stir to mix
- Now serve in glasses
