Lemon drinks are very beneficial for our health. It is said that it helps in digestion, promotes hydration and improves skin quality. Lemon juice is also a good source of vitamin C. Some people also drink lemon water every morning with an empty stomach to boost digestion power & live healthy. But apart from that a basic lemon water itself very refreshing & tasty. That is why it becomes a primary summer drink for common people. You can see many street food vendors also selling lemon water (nimbu pani in Hindi) in many Indian cities during summer days. But you can even make many super delicious & refreshing lemon drinks at home without any hassle that too with easily available ingredients. So here is such list of homemade lemon drink recipes (non alcoholic) for a party or any other event.
# Green mango lemonade
Ingredients
Green mango - 1 small size
Honey - ½ tbsp
Sugar - 1.5 tbsp
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Water - 4 glasses
Instructions
- Peel green mango and blend in mixer grinder
- Now add it to water and boil for next 5-6 minutes and switch off the fire
- Add honey to that boiling water and mix and rest it for 10 minutes before keeping inside refrigerator
- Now refrigerate it for two hours and then add sugar and lemon juice and again blend in mixie
- Now take crushed ice (if you want) in a glass and pour green mango drink and serve chilled refreshing drink.
# Ginger soda lime
Ingredients
Ginger - 1 inch (grated)
Sugar - ⅔ cup
Lime juice - 6 tsp
Ice cube - 4
Soda water - 600 ml
Instructions
- Heat water in a sauce pan to boil grated ginger
- Now remove ginger from water and keep that water in a bowl
- Keep it aside and let it be cool for 30 minutes
- Now add ice cubes in that bowl and keep it in freezer for 1 hours
- Take 4 tsp lime juice in a cup and mix with sugar and keep it to settle for 2 hours
- Now take take semi freeze ginger water in jar and add lime sugar mixture too and blend
- Now add soda water and stir little bit and serve.
# Cucumber lemonade
Ingredients
Cucumber / kheera - 1 medium size
Lemon juice - 4 tsp
Sugar - ¾ tbsp
Water - 2 glasses
Instructions
- Cut cucumber into small pieces and boil in water for 10 minutes
- Now remove cucumber pieces and add sugar and mix properly in boiled water
- Now rest it for 10 minutes and keep it inside freezer for one hour
- Now take it from freezer and add lemon juice to it and blend it in mixie to make it consistent
- Pour it into glasses and serve it with crushed water.
# Refreshing shikanji lemonade
Ingredients
4 tsp lemon juice
½ inch ginger
2 tsp roasted cumin powder
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tbsp sugar
2 glasses chilled water
4-6 ice cubes
Instructions
- Add grated ginger, lemon juice, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, sugar and water in a blender and blend
- Now strain it into a large bowl
- Add ice cubes in a glasses and pour chilled shikanji (shikanjvi) & serve.
# Natural & spicy lemonade
Ingredients
2 glasses of fresh sugarcane juice (ganne ka juice)
3 teaspoons lemon juice (nimbu)
1 cup fresh mint leaves (pudina patta)
½ teaspoon chaat masala
½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder (bhuna jeera powder)
1 tablespoon sugar, optional (if sugarcane juice is not sweet enough)
Instructions
- Take everything in a blender, Now blend to make a smooth drink
- Strain this drink in a large bowl and pour natural & spicy lemonade into two glasses
- Serve this with extra mint leaves & lemon slices.
