Grilled chicken is a healthy and nutritious dish, as it is a great source of lean protein and contains fewer calories than fried or breaded chicken. It is also versatile, as it can be served as a main course, in salads, sandwiches, or even on its own as a snack.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges for serving
Method
- Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper to make a marinade.
- Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure they are coated evenly. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
- Once the grill is hot, place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving with lemon wedges.
