Crunchy butter cookies prepared by baking all-purpose flour, butter, and sugar without eggs. These butter cookies are delicious because of the richness of the butter. Recently I have bought a microwave convection oven and I am so happy and excited to explore different baking recipes. Today I will show you the baking method and recipe of one of the most favorite cookies, butter cookie without eggs included.
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour maida
3/4 cup butter room temperature
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 tsp salt
Few tbsp milk or oil
Method
* Powder sugar and keep readily available.
* Keep butter in room temperature.
* In a large mixing bowl, measure and take butter in room temperature.
* Add powdered (icing) sugar in the bowl.
* Start beating or mixing using electric beater (low speed) or use a hand mixer.
* Mix the butter and sugar thoroughly into fine paste consistency as shown in the picture.
* Now sieve and add the maida flour.
* Half a teaspoon of salt.
* Mix again with a beater or spatula. It will turn into a crumbly texture.
* Add a tsp of vanilla essence and mix well.
* The dough becomes wet crumbly texture because of the butter.
* Start kneading again to form a whole crack less mass.
* If your dough is still powdery and able to knead, you can use few tbsp of oil or milk to knead.
* I used 2 tbsp of milk to form the dough as shown.
* Now shape the dough lengthwise and roll this dough in a paper wrap or baking paper tightly. I shaped it as square long dough so that it will easy for me to get square-shaped cookies. You can either make round or square-shaped butter cookies.
* Now keep the tightly wrapped dough inside a freezer for 30 mins to harden a bit.
* Preheat the oven to 180deg Celsius.
* Grease or line a baking tray and keep it ready
* After 30mins remove the dough from the wrap and cut into 1-inch thick slices as shown in the picture using a sharp knife.
* Place the cookie dough slices by giving enough space.
* Bake in convection mode for 15 mins.
* Once done, let them cool down for half an hour at least.
* Initially, the cookies look softer, but when they become completely cool it becomes crispy.
