When it comes to Indian cuisine, every mouth waters on hearing the name of Punjabi food. Punjabi Tadka is very famous not only in the country but also abroad. One such Punjabi dish is Butter Chicken. Today this dish is very much liked everywhere, coming out of the Punjabi kitchen. Butter chicken is also very much liked in royal banquets. If you are also thinking of making it for dinner at home, then here we are telling you the recipe of making butter chicken. The recipe of making this butter chicken is very easy and by following it you can make delicious butter chicken like a home restaurant.
Ingredients
500 grams raw chicken
2 tsp red chili powder
2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
2 tsp salt
2 tsp lemon juice
Curd
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp kasoori methi
2 tsp mustard oil
For Gravy
2 tsp oil
butter cubes as per taste
3 grams cloves
1 cinnamon stick, chopped
1 tsp mace
7 cardamom
4 tomatoes
1 tsp garlic
Method
* We have already told you that to make butter chicken, first let the chicken marinate overnight. For chicken margination, first grind raw chicken pieces in a bowl and add salt, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice to it. Now mix it well.
* Keep it in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes.
* Now add salt to it. After this add salt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, kasoori methi and mustard oil. Mix it well and keep it in the fridge again for an hour.
* Roast the marinated chicken in the oven for three quarters of 30 minutes to cook.
* Now it’s time to make delicious gravy for butter chicken. So for this, first heat butter with 2 tsp oil in a pan.
* Add cloves, cinnamon stick, mace and cardamom to it. Fry it and add tomato, garlic and ginger to it. Mix it well and grind it well.
* Put two tablespoons of butter in another pan, add ginger and garlic paste to it.
* Now add tomato puree to it. After this add red chili powder, kasoori methi, honey and roasted chicken pieces. Cook it on low flame.
* Add green chili, cardamom powder and cream and mix it well.
* Lastly, pour cream on it and serve it with hot rotis.
