Ingredients

3-4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cubed
2-3 large onions, sliced
2 medium-sized tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
Salt, to taste
Oil, for cooking
Chopped coriander leaves, for garnish

Method

- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

- Add sliced onions and fry until they turn golden brown.

- Add ginger and garlic paste and sauté for a minute.

- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.

- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

- Add cubed potatoes and mix everything together.

- Cover the pan and cook on low-medium heat until the potatoes are soft and cooked through.

- Add garam masala powder and mix well.

- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

- Serve hot with rice or Indian bread.
