Kandi pedha is a traditional Satara special recipe. These are popularly known as Satari kandi pedhe. This is very easy and simple recipe that can be made in just 10 minutes. We are not using milk or milk powder in this recipe.

1/2 kg Khava / Mawa
1 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
Method
* Heat up a pan on medium heat and add khava in it.
* Fry it for about 2-3 minutes until it melts and the raw smell of it has vanished.
* Do not fry khava longer or the pedha will be chewy.
* When khava melts and begins to release ghee add sugar.
* Mix well and fry on medium heat until it comes together like dough for about 8-10 minutes.
* Stir the mixture continuously.
* Take a little mixture in a spoon and check.
* If it comes together like dough then the mixture for making padha is ready.
* Turn off the gas and mix well once.
* Add cardamom powder and mix well.
* Continue stirring for about a minute or two after turning the gas off.
* Transfer the mixture into a dish and spread it.
