Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients
5 cups of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
1 cup of mini marshmallows
½ cup of creamy peanut butter
¼ cup of honey
¼ cup of unsalted butter
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
Cooking spray
Method
- Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly coat it with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal and mini marshmallows. Set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add the peanut butter, honey, and unsalted butter. Microwave on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until the mixture is smooth and melted. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the peanut butter mixture over the cereal and marshmallow mixture. Use a spatula or your hands (lightly coated with cooking spray) to mix and coat the cereal evenly.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan. Press it down firmly using the back of a spatula or your hands to ensure it is compacted and level.
- Allow the bars to cool at room temperature for about 1 to 2 hours until set. For faster cooling, you can refrigerate them for 30 minutes.
- Once cooled and set, remove the bars from the pan by lifting the parchment paper. Place them on a cutting board and cut into desired bar sizes or fun shapes.
- Serve and enjoy these scrumptious Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bars!
Tips:
- For added texture and flavor, consider adding some chopped nuts or dried fruits to the mixture before pressing it into the pan.
- If peanut butter is not suitable due to allergies, you can substitute it with almond butter or sunflower seed butter.
- Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days. You can also freeze them for longer shelf life.
