How to make Turmeric Fish Curry.

Step 1:

To make Turmeric Fish Curry, start by marinating 500g of fish fillets with 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and some salt, setting it aside for 10 minutes. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat, then add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Step 2:

Add 1 finely chopped large onion, 3 minced garlic cloves, and 1 inch of grated ginger, sautéing until golden brown. Stir in the remaining turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon each of coriander powder and garam masala, cooking for a minute until fragrant. Add 2 chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften. Pour in 1 cup of coconut milk, bringing it to a simmer and adjusting the seasoning with salt.

Step 3:

Gently add the marinated fish fillets, cover, and cook for 8-10 minutes until the fish is cooked through. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with rice or roti.
