You might think that in this age and time, we should be over game-playing in love. Seriously, if I wanted to play games I’d buy a Playstation, not attempt to look for the signs a guy wants you to chase him!

Unfortunately, playing games dates back to the moment when romance was even invented. Because the initial stages of dating are so plagued with uncertainty, we’re all guilty of trying to manipulate a situation to our own liking, probably without even realizing it.

For instance, how many times have you made your social media profile look super-busy, simply because you want someone to wonder what you’re up to and turn up at the same places as you? If that’s not game playing, I don’t know what is!

# He’s always blowing hot and cold

In the words of Katy Perry, “you’re hot then you’re cold, you’re yes then you’re no …” Is this a situation you’re familiar with?

We’re all guilty of doing this from time to time. If a guy in your life seems to be all in one moment and then backs away the next, what are you supposed to think? Confused, that’s what.

Guys who do this are either playing you or genuinely not sure what they want. It could also be that he’s been hurt in the past. While he really likes you and part of him wants to give this thing a try, he’s terrified of history repeating itself. His fear drags him back.

The only way you’re really going to find out is to confront the dude. Ask him what the hell is going on! Tell him “I’m confused, one minute you’re all hot, and the next you’re disappearing or going all cold. Do you like me or not?”

Yes, it takes guts. Let’s be honest, it’s better than being on this roundabout of are we/aren’t we?

# He’s told you he likes you, but action is lacking

If he’s told you that he has feelings for you or he likes you, but he’s not doing anything about it, what exactly is he playing at? Good question.

He has told you he likes you means that there is a foundation there, so you’re not really going out on a limb by making the move yourself. If you had no clue if he liked you or not, I’d tell you to be a little more cautious. But, he’s already given you the big news, so rest a little easier on that score.

Personally, I would go for it. If you like him back and unsure why he is completely inactive where his feelings are concerned, this is one of the big signs a guy wants you to chase him. I’d just go for it. If he doesn’t respond, back off and let him figure out what he wants and chase you instead, but make the move; otherwise, you’ll never know.

# He’s distant with you but also jealous

Why would you be jealous of someone if you didn’t like them in ‘that’ way? Exactly, you wouldn’t! The fact he’s jealous means he can’t stand seeing you with other guys. That is a pretty big tick in the box that he likes you. However, ask yourself why he’s not doing anything about it. Could it be one of the signs a guy wants you to chase him?

I’d say so. In this case, I’d be a little annoyed that he wasn’t doing a bit more of the work. Is he lazy? Possibly so!

Personally, I think if you like someone, you should just tell them and figure it out from there. If he’s trying to make you chase him by not doing anything but clearly showing you the green-eyed monster when anyone else comes near you, call his bluff! Seriously, give him a shove in the right direction and poke that jealous monster – see what happens! I know, I know, I said I don’t like games, but sometimes lazy guys should be kicked into action!

# He makes his move and then goes MIA

This is a hugely annoying, but unfortunately it’s one that can and does happen. Why would a guy make a move, make it very clear that he likes you and then suddenly, poof! He’s disappeared into thin air!

Now, this could be for a good reason. Maybe he’s busy at work, something happened in his family, or he’s ill. Give him a few days. See if you get a text as an explanation. However, any longer than that and I’m afraid he’s showing you one of the signs a guy wants you to chase him!

Do you want to chase him after he plays with your feelings in such a way? Depends really. If you like him and you’re pretty sure he’s just freaking out because he’s scared of relationships, then fine, figure out what’s going on. But if he’s a guy who loves to play with the affections of others, give him a wide berth!

# He just keeps coming back

Perhaps you’ve tried to make things work with this guy a few times. It just always stalls. However, if this happens and he always comes back, it’s either some kind of karmic connection that’s meant to be followed, or he’s playing games and trying to get you to do the chasing.What you do is entirely up to you, but remember the reasons why it’s never worked out in the first place!
