Indore City Walk Festival To Start From Rajwada On Sept 8

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board will organise City Walk Festival at 11 cities including Indore for the first time in MP on September 8. It will start from Rajwada in the city. It will be inaugurated during the tourism festival. Its aim is to generate awareness, attachment and pride for city among its residents. The walk will be organised on the theme and slogan, ‘Our city – Our heritage’, ‘Beautiful City -Clean City ‘, ‘Our City – Our own city’. Walk leader and walk icon will participate in the city walk.
Hariranjan Rao, principal secretary of tourism department and MD of MP Tourism Board, reviewed the preparation of event at a meeting. He asked officials to involve residents and make this event a success. He emphasised the need to ensure cooperation of district administration, District Tourism Promotion Council and local bodies. The festival will begin in city on September 8, in Vidisha on September 9, in Burhanpur on September 15, in Ujjain and Jabalpur, Gwalior and Panna on September 22, in Chanderi on September 30. Similar events will be organised in Khajuraho and Orchha.
