India, is a developing country from last so many years. There are ample of reason why it is not a Developed country yet. Many are political reasons, lets not get into them, but there are many other reasons like the way we are adopting new things that makes us still developing. People in India are still living with the backward thinking. They people refuse to accept the changes happening in society. They are ready to blame girls dress for rape, but forget what a 4 week girl that got raped has to relate with her dress.
We are ready to boycott girls appeal but are ready to free the guy who brutally raped a girl.
Our country is becoming technologically advanced, but the advancement in the thinking is still way outdated.
Today, if you use the word, SEX in public, you would be seen as if you are a terrorist. I don`t know why is it so, but is is a fact. And the people who asks you to learn etiquette for not using the word, are same who have 3-4 children. Ironic, isn`t it?
Using the word SEX is considered crime. No matter you are in a metro city or in a village, if you use that word, you would be seen as a criminal or slut. No, it`s not even about asking your child to have it or take the word in wrong way, but it is about making him/her understand the exact meaning of it.
Instead of using the word freely, and teaching our kids the pros and cons of it, our society is asking them to be quite, which leads them to wrong way. They don`t understand the difference between sex and rape and there is when wrong deeds happen.
Well yes, mentality needs to be changed. Our elders need to accept these things, and should teach the younger generation about it. Because until and unless we don`t communicate freely with each other, things can never change.
