10 Tips To Text A Guy You Like And Keep Him Interested

You're really into this guy, aren't you? You're worried he might lose interest, and it's making you anxious about how to keep him engaged through texting, am I right? The more you obsess over keeping him interested, the more likely it is that your worst fears will come true.
Fretting about losing him will only make you more paranoid and nervous when you're talking to him, and that's exactly what might turn him off.
As cliche as it may sound, being yourself is crucial. Your authenticity is what will keep him texting you. But there's a bit more to it than just that.
# Quality over quantity
You might feel tempted to share every detail of your day with him, but remember, less is more.
Sending him an essay isn't necessary. Unless he's completely smitten with you, he won't likely read it all. Keep your messages concise and to the point.
# Avoid boring texts
Messages like, "My dog just licked my face – he's so sweet," or "I'm so full from dinner," are unlikely to spark much interest. He might smile, but then what? Silence?
How is a guy supposed to respond to messages like that? It's almost as bad as the dull "How's life?"
# Don't double-text
Women often do this, and it can drive men away in text conversations. If you want to keep a guy interested, avoid double-texting at all costs.
One text is enough. Just be patient while waiting for a response. We assure you, he did receive your text, and he hasn't disappeared off the face of the earth!
# Ask questions
If you want to keep a guy interested through texting, asking questions is key.
Don't make it feel like an interview, but engage him with your questions.
They shouldn't be too shallow, but they also shouldn't be too deep. Save the deep questions for when you're on a date! Until then, keep him on his toes with the right set of questions.
# Have a life outside of your phone
You like him, and you're excited to text him, but you also have a life outside of him.
Nothing is less attractive than showing him that he's your sole focus.
Go out with your friends, live your life, and if you're so busy having fun that you miss his text for a couple of hours, guess what? It makes you way, way more desirable to a guy!
# Give detailed answers to questions
Have you ever asked someone a question, and they replied with just a "Yes" or "No"? There's not much you can do with a response like that.
So, if he asks you a question, don't just answer with one word and expect him to keep the conversation going.
When he asks you something, even if it's a yes-or-no question, answer it and then ask him something else in return. Even better, elaborate on your answer by adding a detail that will get his mind running.
# Let him initiate
Guys love a challenge. Let him be the one to start the conversation.
While it's okay for you to text him first sometimes, you shouldn't be doing it all the time.
By seeing if he initiates conversations, you'll be able to gauge his interest in you. If you're always the one starting conversations, he may not be that into you.
# Respect his time
He probably won't have time to text you every three minutes if he has a full-time job.
You need to understand and respect this when you're trying to keep him interested through texting.
Many women can be demanding in this aspect, but while time is important, remember that he has a career and personal life.
Patiently wait for him to text you back; he will when he has the time.
# Text with proper grammar and spelling
If you want to keep a guy interested through text, use basic texting etiquette.
Abbreviating everything might seem more convenient, but it can make you look immature.
Regardless of the language you're texting in, use proper spelling and grammar.
# Be yourself and show off your personality
Don't pretend to be someone you're not just to keep his attention.
He'll eventually see through it.
Authenticity is incredibly attractive!
This applies to your sense of humor, your likes and dislikes, and everything else that makes you who you are.
If you're a huge Star Wars fan, who knows, he might be too!
