After Independence, Indians Are United Again For These 5 Things

In 1947, Indians united together to fight for their freedom, and with their dedication to set their country free they finally achieved Independence. That was the time when all Indians came together for something good. And now again history is being repeated in 2017.
2016-2017 will be again marked in the History of India, for uniting Indians to fight for their basic rights and achieve development. Basic hygiene was a big issues, which needed to improved. People of rural as well as urban area need to be made aware about hoe to keep themselves and their surroundings clean. And many other things were needed to improve the GDP of our country and equate the lower and upper class of the society. Here are 5 things that united Indians again-
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
To accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put focus on sanitation, the Prime Minister of India launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October, 2014. The Mission Coordinator shall be Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS) with two Sub-Missions, the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), which aims to achieve Swachh Bharat by 2019, as a fitting tribute to the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, which in rural areas shall mean improving the levels of cleanliness in rural areas.
GST
Goods and Services Tax (GST) is an indirect tax applicable throughout India which replaced multiple cascading taxes levied by the central and state governments. It was introduced as The Constitution (One Hundred and First Amendment) Act 2017, following the passage of Constitution 122nd Amendment Bill. The GST is governed by a GST Council and its Chairman is the Finance Minister of India. Under GST, goods and services are taxed at the following rates, 0%, 5%, 12% and 18%.
Shauchalaya Nirman, Ghar ka Samman
The scheme was launched on 28 September 2016 along with another scheme named as Har Ghar Nal ka Jal. The main objective of the Shauchalaya Nirman, Ghar ka Samman scheme is to end the evil practice of outdoor defecation by the year 2019. To achieve the objective, the state government would provide a financial support to each household to build an indoor toilet.
Demonetization
Demonetization is the act of stripping a currency unit of its status as legal tender. It occurs whenever there is a change of national currency: The current form or forms of money is pulled from circulation and retired, often to be replaced with new notes or coins. In 2016, the Indian government decided to demonetize the 500- and 1000- rupee notes, the two biggest denominations in its currency system; these notes accounted for 86% of the country’s circulating cash.
Gas Subsidy
The first phase of the scheme was launched in 54 districts of India on a trial basis and ran successfully. Under this scheme people who left to get subsidy benefited more than 2.5 crore households of the country by helping them to provide LPG connection in rural areas.
