'Victory Day' is celebrated every year on 16th December as the historic victory of the Indian Armed Forces in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. In this war in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), the Pakistani army had to loose the battle. Leaders of the Pakistan Army General AK Niaji accepted their defeat in front of the Lt. General Jagjit Singh of the Indian Army along with his 93,000 soldiers. General Sam Manekshaw was the army chief at the time. After this war Bangladesh emerged as a new country on the world map. # Lance Naik Albert Ekka
In 1971 during the India-Pakistan war, Albert Ecka had defended guarded his unit soldiers while demonstrating valor and military skills. During this campaign, he was seriously injured and left the world on December 3, 1971. The Government of India honored him with the highest Pravara Chakra awarded to the soldiers post.

The honorable Indian soldier who received Param Vir Chakra's honor in 1971, Major Hoshiar Singh led his 3 Grenadiers and showed his amazing feat and the enemy had to face defeat. On the other side of Jammu and Kashmir, he had won the battle of Jarwal in the constituency of Shakargarh.
